Mera Peak Expedition

This trekking peak expedition starts with a drive and trek through picturesque Sherpa villages, for a safe approach of the altitude, culminating in the exhilarating summit of Mera Peak at 6,476 meters with a stunning view of five of the world’s highest mountains. It is considered one of the less technical trekking peaks, but it is the heighest and that makes it challenging enough! 

Inclusions: 

  • Accommodation: 12 nights in traditional Nepalese "teahouses" during the trek, 1 night in high altitude tentcamp and 2 nights in a hotel in Kathmandu of minimum 3 stars rating.

  • Foodwise: 3 meals a day (including 3 hot drinks) during the trek, while in Kathmandu bed & breakfast.

  • Licensed climbing guide who provides you safety, flexibility and a good time during the trek.

  • Airport transfer service upon arrival and departure in Kathmandu.

Itinerary:

**Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu**  
Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu.

**Day 02: Drive to Phaplu (2,413m/7,917ft)**  
Enjoy a scenic drive to Phaplu, where your trekking adventure begins.

**Day 03: Trek to Nunthala (2,147m/7,044ft)**  
Start your trek with a journey through lush forests and traditional villages, reaching Nunthala by day's end.

**Day 04: Trek to Panggom (2,804m/9,199ft)**  
Continue trekking through picturesque landscapes, ascending to the charming village of Panggom.

**Day 05: Trek to Ramaillo Dada (Happy Hill)**  
Trek to Ramaillo Dada, also known as Happy Hill, enjoying stunning views and serene surroundings.

**Day 06: Trek to Chatara La (4,500m/14,764ft)**  
Ascend to Chatara La, a high mountain pass offering breathtaking panoramic views.

**Day 07: Trek to Kothe (3,691m/12,109ft) via the Chatara La Pass (4,600m/15,092ft)**  
Cross the Chatara La Pass and descend to Kothe, a beautiful village nestled in the valley.

**Day 08: Trek to Thagnak (4,358m/14,297ft)**  
Trek along the Hinku Valley, passing through lush forests and alongside roaring rivers to reach Thagnak.

**Day 9: Trek to Khare (5,045m/16,486ft)**  
Continue your ascent to Khare, the base camp for Mera Peak, with magnificent mountain views along the way.

**Day 10: Khare acclimatization day + climb preparation**  
Spend the day acclimatizing in Khare, preparing for your upcoming climb with training and gear checks.

**Day 11: Trek to Mera High Camp (5,780m/18,958ft)**  
Ascend to Mera High Camp, setting the stage for your summit attempt.

**Day 12: Summit climb of Mera Peak (6,476m/21,247ft) + descend back to Khare (5,045m/16,486ft)**  
Summit Mera Peak and enjoy the exhilarating experience of standing atop one of Nepal's highest trekking peaks. Descend back to Khare for the night.

**Day 13: Trek back to Kothe (3,600m/11,808ft)**  
Begin your descent, trekking back to the village of Kothe.

**Day 14: Trek to Thulo Kharka (4,300m/14,107ft)**  
Trek to Thulo Kharka, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way.

**Day 15: Trek back to Lukla**  
Continue your descent to Lukla, where you can celebrate your successful climb with more variation in food and drinks.

**Day 16: Flight back to Kathmandu**

Fly back to the city to have the comfort of a good bed, good food and the cosy streets of Thamel again.

**Day 17: Departure**  
The last day we’ll transfer you to the airport for your departure, bidding you farewell until your next adventure in Nepal!
